About Jasvinder
I am Healthcare Data Scientist passionate about using data to drive meaningful impact in patient care, equity, and operational efficiency. Currently at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center (an FQHC), I design end-to-end analytics solutions — from data pipelines and machine learning models to intuitive dashboards — that empower care teams and support underserved communities.
With a background in bioinformatics and translational research from the NIH and Cleveland State University, I bring the rigor of a researcher and the focus of a practitioner to real-world applications. My recent work includes outreach prioritization models, non-medical determinants of health analysis, and tools to improve appointment utilization and care access.
I specialize in SQL, R, Python, Tableau, and machine learning, and I am continuously expanding into big data technologies like Hadoop. My approach is strategic, human-centered, and outcome-driven — always aligned with the mission of making healthcare more effective, equitable, and data-informed.
To record my experiences for my own future reference and for fellow travelers like you!
